THERMOWELLS

Thermowells are among the simplest yet least well publicized accessories used in industrial temperature measurement applications.

Type selection

• Solid barstock: manufactured by deep gun drilling, suitable for general use and for critical and heavy duty applications. Can be supplied in all metals including special high alloys.
• Built-up-manufactured from tubes by swaging or tip welding, suitable for general use and for light or moderate duty applications. Can be supplied in all weldable materials.
• Ceramic and special-refractory protecting tubes in porcelain, silicon carbide and alumina. Special thermowells, with plastic or vitreous clad or hard-facing to resist erosion.
